01 Download
Download Full Compass
One setup installs the start page and the apps you tick. It is free to try, and your data stays on your computer.
Full Compass Accountancy Suite Setup
For Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. A test version: please read the note below before you rely on it.
- Version
- 0.2.7
- Size
- About 80 MB
- Published
- 27 October 2026
- File
- Full-Compass-Accountancy-Suite-Setup-0.2.7.exe
- SHA-256
- Shown on the update site.
The setup is downloaded from the suite's update site, updates.fullcompass.co.uk, which also serves the updates the start page installs.
Before you start: this is a test version
Full Compass is still being built and checked, and it has not been recognised or approved by HMRC or Companies House. Try it with the demonstration data, check anything it works out before you rely on it, and please don't use it to send real tax returns, payroll submissions, VAT returns or company accounts, or to make payments. It is not tax, accounting or financial advice.
02 Installing
Installing takes a minute or two
-
Save the setup
Your browser may say the file isn't commonly downloaded. In Edge, choose the three dots beside the download, then Keep, then Show more, then Keep anyway. In Chrome, choose Keep.
-
Open it, past Windows' warning
Until the setup is signed with a publisher's certificate, Windows may show a blue box, "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway.
-
Read the notice, choose who it's for
Just me is the usual choice: it installs for your Windows user, and no administrator is needed. Everyone who uses this computer is for a practice whose staff share one computer; it needs an administrator, who then installs the updates.
-
Tick the apps you want
They are all ticked to start with, and the start page always comes. Choose Install, then Finish with "Open Full Compass Accountancy Suite now" ticked.
What you need
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- About 300 MB of free space.
- Microsoft Edge WebView2, which most PCs already have. If yours doesn't, the setup downloads it, so be online the first time.
Full Compass is for Windows only for now.
Checking the download
To be sure the file arrived whole, compare its SHA-256 with the one above. In PowerShell:
Get-FileHash "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\Full-Compass-Accountancy-Suite-Setup-0.2.7.exe"
03 Updates and your data
Updates come to you
When the start page opens, it looks for updates. An app with a newer version shows Update available and an Update button, and Update all brings the whole suite up to date.
The start page backs up your data file before anything is installed, and checks each download against a signed list of the latest versions. You can turn the check off in Tools > Settings.
To add an app you didn't install at first, use Tools > Install Apps.
Your data stays on your computer
Accounts, Books, Business Tax and Personal Tax share one data file, and Pay keeps its own, both in your own Windows user's folders:
%APPDATA%\uk.fullcompass.suite %APPDATA%\uk.fullcompass.pay
Nothing is sent anywhere except the update check and what you yourself file with HMRC or Companies House. Read the privacy note.
